Making the website accessible to you

There are several ways to create a user-friendly website from your web browser.

Sight Problems

You may like to change the colours, font and text size of our website.  The BBC My Web My Way have an easy to use guide detailing how to change these settings in your internet browser.

Our website is designed to promote the use of screen readers, such as Jaws and NVDA. If you have the software, you can access the majority of our website.

Hearing Problems

All our content is in plain English for ease of users. For any videos, we offer captions (CC) so hard of hearing residents can understand any public information.

If you are struggling with our website, please contact our accessibility team.

Reading Problems

You may like to change your fonts, text size and contrast colours. The BBC have an easy guide that can be found below.

Mobility Problems

You may like to change your keyboard and mouse setting to make the controls easier to use. You can alter your equipment by slowing down your mouse, using alternative software or altering the keyboard to your settings.

More mobility options can be found here.
